Twelve companies competed for the EEEgr Innovation Award. Competing against companies like Camcon Technology, Cambridge University, and various other companies PDC came in third place with it*'s submersible turbine. The turbine could be developed to to be fitted to offshore wind turbines and, by using wave and tidal motion could enhance the amount of electricity produced.
