Cutting Bed ImpellerThe tool is run in the drill string at sections most affected by the build up of cuttings on the cutting bed. A short tool that is easily run in between stands of drill pipe and in conjunction with DSTR tools. When rotated with the drill string the chevron assymetric blades lift the cutting debris from the low side of the hole.
In highly deviated ERD wells, the higher pumping rates have minimal incremental effect on the low side of the hole, however the blade design ensures efficient sweeping of the cuttings back into the path of the faster moving flow stream on the high side of the hole. |

Depending upon string rotation, flow rate, cutting sizes and mud weight, the tool remains effective over intervals of between 350 to 550 ft. This also provides a guide to optimising the spacing between the tools and preventing cutting bed build up by aiding the cuttings back to surface. Tool Features
