Harmonic Isolation
This tool is designed to run immediately above the bit to reduce vibrational loads generated by the
drill bit dynamics, helping to improve bit life and improve the ROP in arduous drilling conditions.

Extensive field runs with a number of HI tools in the US
and Europe have shown that this tool makes a significant contribution towards reducing drilling costs.

Tool Features
- Suitable for rotary or mud motor use in limiting axial, radial and torsional vibration problems in
hard formations
- Tool is placed between bit and first BHA component for most applications
- Allows drill bit to dynamically self-centre
- Reduces dynamic interaction between BHA and drill bit via a flexible geared connection
- De-couples BHA and mud motor harmonics from drill bit
- Tool can also be used between the BHA and drill string for severe drilling applications
- Blades with barrel profile to accommodate cutting force dynamic stability
- Rotational drive through patented internal involute gear spline
- Elastomeric absorbers to cushion bit tilt and axial shock
