Top Drive Circulating Tool- Primary Concept

PDC is asked to assist an operator in reducing drilling time when tripping out of hole. There is a need to reconnect Top Drive on each stand to maintain circulation when pulling out. Between 7-10 minutes is lost on each stand in making up a high torque tubing thread. To reduce lost time a circulation tool is designed to make up onto the top drive saver sub and hydraulically seal into the top connection of the pulled stand without mechanical make up. Within a month the tool is designed, manufactured, and dispatched for use.
